About A is for Amma

Sinhalese is one of the languages spoken in Sri Lanka and this book was created in hopes that the language would be passed on to the next generation. This book uses Sinhalese words to teach children their ABC's. Growing up in Los Angeles as a Sri Lankan-American, author Mihiri Weerasinghe lived between two cultures, often blending the two.
